It has been almost a week now since I quit my job.
Yesterday was the hardest day. Thoughts started to creep into my mind about whether I made the right decision or not. I have started dropping content on my different socials with none of it gaining any traction. You can follow those here by the way:
My wife snapped me back to reality with a reminder that these things take time. No need to put unnecessary pressure on myself. I am doing the right things and taking steps forward. This reminded me of a quote from Marcus Aurelius.
"Don't waste the rest of your time here worrying about other people. It will keep you from doing anything useful"
So today I choose to focus on myself and my belief that I am doing something useful. For myself and others.
I woke up at 4:00 AM this morning. Not by choice. This is going to be my primary focus for the next two weeks. Finding my routine with this new freedom I have. Here is what I want to commit to so I can form this habit:
5:30 AM Wake up and take pre-workout
6:00-6:45 Gym
6:45-8:15 LinkedIn following Jason Vanas framework
- Engage on other people's content = 20 min
- Publish my post
- Respond to comments = 20 min
- Research & connect with ideal customers = 15 min
- Send intro messages and respond to DMs = 15 min
- Engage on more peoples' content (again) = 10 min
- Capture ideas for new posts = 5 min
8:15-11:30 Work on content for the website
11:30-12:00 Take the dog for a walk and enjoy nature
12:00-12:30 Lunch
12:30-5:00 Work on content for YouTube (Filming, Planning, Editing)
5:00-9:45 Spend time with family and relax
10:00 Bed
These are the steps I am taking right now to Become Greater.
What steps are you taking?
